Building Safety & Self-Compassion

RISE: ROOTED & RISING is part 1 of a 3-part series of a psychoeducational support group designed to help participants better understand trauma, cultivate inner safety, strengthen self-compassion, and develop healthy boundaries.

This group offers a supportive and non-judgmental environment where participants can learn, reflect, and connect with others.

Weeks 1 & 2: Understanding Trauma, the Body, and the Nervous System

Trauma is not only something we think about—it can also influence how we feel, respond, and experience the world around us. During these sessions, we'll explore the connection between trauma, the body, and the nervous system in a simple and accessible way.

Weeks 3 & 4: Developing Self-Compassion and Inner Safety

Many trauma survivors develop harsh self-criticism, self-doubt, or difficulty feeling safe within themselves. These sessions focus on building a kinder relationship with yourself and creating a stronger sense of emotional safety.

Weeks 5 & 6: Healthy Boundaries and Self-Respect

Boundaries are an essential part of wellbeing, yet many people struggle to identify, communicate, and maintain them. These sessions will focus on understanding boundaries as acts of self-care rather than acts of rejection.

Through understanding, self-compassion, and healthy boundaries, we can move from simply surviving toward feeling more grounded, empowered, and connected to ourselves.
